Requiring a full sun position but tolerating a very shady position as well, olives will tolerant a very wide range of soil conditions. They will grow even in rocky or very poor soil. Even though largely drought-tolerant, they produce their best fruit yield when well-watered during flowering and fruit production. Best times to fertilize are during autumn and spring for best fruiting results. Garden Harvest produce high yields of 3-4 gram olives, which are high in oil content and will go on pleasing for years
